Power Generation from low calorific value Renewable/Biofuels

We are now developing a brand new Gas Turbine engine rated at 140 kWe to generate electrical power from low calorific fuels. This engine design is based on many years previous experience.

It will be a fully packaged, soundproofed (6 metre container) generating set complete with all the ancillary systems necessary, and remote monitoring. This engine will incorporate our unique proven combustion system as well as an integral turbine driven gas compression system for pressurising the gas in order to inject into the engine.

Our initial target market is low quality Landfill gas in the range 30% to 12% methane. Conventional (reciprocating) gas engines struggle to burn gas at below 30% methane, and therefore this gas is either flared off, or if very low quality, then vented. So we can now turn this waste gas into power, where it can be sold as 'Green' electricity at higher prices.

This also has an impact on reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, as methane is 21 times worse than CO2 for depletion of the ozone layer.

We then intend to move on to other Biofuels, and look at power generation possibilities in the developing world from renewable fuels.

If you have any interest in possible applications for this new generator then please let us know through our contact page. We are also interested to hear from potential investors who may like to be part of this exciting new development.
